Jean E. Mogavero of Bath, PA, formerly of Wallkill, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018, in Bethlehem, with her daughter Nancy at her side. She was 96. The daughter of the late Thomas Adie and Eleanor (Wallace) Adie, she was born August 15, 1922 in North Bergen, NJ.

Jean graduated from Mary Washington College in 1944 and after graduation she started working at the New York Public Library. Jean left NYPL around 1958 and returned to work as a librarian in 1970 at Englewood Library until retiring in 1985. She was a former member of Wallkill Reformed Church, serving on the Woman’s Guild and Willing Workers, a member of the Order Eastern Star Chapter, Walden Chapter 560, Walden, and Bogota 176, New Jersey, and a member of AARP Gardiner #975.

She was the widow of Nicholas S. Mogavero. Survivors include her daughters Nancy Russell & her husband David of Bath, PA, Susan Kroll of Tennessee; grandson Christopher Nunziata; nieces & nephews Visitation will be Friday, September 21, 2018 from 1-2pm at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden, NY 12586. A service will follow at 2:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
