Jean’s Obituary Sallie Jean Gaskill, 86, of Wilmington, NC died peacefully on March 21, 2019. Born in Wilmington on December 27, 1932, she was the daughter of the late William Lonnie Gaskill, Sr and Mary Ganey Gaskill. Jean was retired from New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was a cherished leader in Girl Scouts and a faithful friend to many. While she had no children of her own, she was always surrounded with love by her 13 nieces and nephews. Jean is survived by sisters Ann Gaskill, Mary Meyler, and Barbara Maultsby, as well as her nieces and nephews and their children.

She is preceded in death by brother William Lonnie Gaskill, Jr and sister Vivian Hewett. Graveside service for Jean will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday. March 26, at Greenlawn Memorial Park with the Rev.
