Nancy’s Obituary Nancy Teresa Smith (Bourland), age 57, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2019 at her home in Wilmington, N. Carolina after a courageous battle with ALS. Teresa was an over-the-road trucker who lived her life the way she loved, seeing the country from a commanding view, pushing those eighteen wheels. She leaves to cherish her memory her best friend, loving mother and care-giver Nancy Kaye Merrill; Nancy’s helper and fiancee James Lacey; her father Paul Merrill; three brothers, James Smith, Charles Smith and Timmy Merrill and her best pal and road companion Peanut.
