Linda’s Obituary Linda Boone Andrews, of Calabash North Carolina, passed away peacefully at age 76 on January 24th, 2019. Linda was born in Covington,Virginia on August 6th, 1942 and was the oldest child of Edwin Daniel Boone and Marguerite Golden Boone. Linda married Kelly “Skip” Andrews on April 20th, 1960.

Linda and Skip spent 29 years living in the Galax, Virginia area where they raised their family. Skip worked for the Va. State Police and Linda managed the cafeteria at the Woodlawn Intermediate School.

In 1989, they moved to Sun City Arizona. Linda became an avid golfer and won the women’s club championship in 1992. In 2006, Skip and Linda moved to the coast of North Carolina, where they enjoyed their grandchildren, the beach, and the occasional trip on the Big-M.

Linda always had a positive attitude and something nice to say about everyone. She enjoyed the little things in life and especially enjoyed seeing her grandchildren grow-up and do well for themselves. Linda is preceded in death by her father, Edwin Daniel Boone and her brother Danny.

She is survived by her mother Marguerite Golden Boone, her husband of 59 years Kelly Eugene Andrews Jr., and her brother John Boone. Linda is also survived by her three children, Robin Andrews, Gleda Edwards and Mark Andrews and four grandchildren. , Ashley Edwards, Sarah Edwards Corbett, Grant Andrews and Tyler Andrews.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Linda’s favorite charity, the St. Jude Children’s hospital, are requested. www.
