Obituary for Jean “Jeannie” Jones Jean “Jeannie” Jones 1933 – 2018 Born just outside of Ardmore, Oklahoma, on December 20, 1933, as Mable Jean Stewart, her family moved to California during the Dust Bowl migration. She was married at the age of 16 to the love of her life, Johnny Jones. Mom was an avid bowler and represented WIBC Kern County for numerous years, traveling all over the country and later becoming a member of the Bowling Hall of Fame.

Mom also loved to sing with her Faith Temple church family and East Niles Senior Center family, where she was the treasurer. Known as Jean Jones, Jeannie, or JJ, everybody loved Mom; and we will never forget her graciousness, giving character, and always lending a helping hand. Mom is survived by her brother, Phillip Stewart, 94, Modesto, CA; sons, Chip Jones, Ventura, CA, and David Jones, Cayucos, CA; daughters-in-law, Gina Watson Jones and Gina Giordano Jones; her grandchildren, Jonny, Caleh, Danny, Samantha, and Leo; and her great-grandchildren, Abby, Emma, Benjamin, and Hannah, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
