Obituary for Johnny Wayne Frisbie Sr. Johnny Wayne Frisbie Sr. 1950 – 2018 Johnny Wayne Frisbie Sr., 68, peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018, surrounded by his children. Johnny was born on January 18, 1950, in Bakersfield, California, to Robert Lee Frisbie and Mary Lou Frisbie. Johnny was raised in the Lamont area where his father worked in the farm fields until 1961.

The family moved to Delano, California, where Johnny attended middle school and graduated from Delano High School. Soon after graduation, Johnny began working on water wells until he switched jobs and worked for Central Transformer. Johnny then moved to Bakersfield, California, and began working on oil rigs as a roughneck.

After a brief time as a roughneck, Johnny began working on oil leases as an operator. In total, he worked in the oil fields for 30 years and was forced to stop working due to his health. Johnny loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing, and he enjoyed riding his Harley and speeding down the back roads in his Mustang as a young man.

His pride and joy were his two children and grandchildren. Johnny is survived by his mother, Mary Lou Frisbie; son, Johnny Frisbie Jr.; daughter, Joy Blanton (Frisbie); daughter-in-law, Esprit Frisbie; son-in-law, Joey Blanton; grandchildren, Jonathan Frisbie, Timothy Frisbie, Jocelyn Blanton, Jace Blanton, Jordan Blanton, Evan Shine; and his sister, Kathleen Cozad. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Frisbie.

Johnny will fondly be remembered by his family and friends as a loving son, father, grandfather, and best friend. His pranks, bear hugs, and smile will be greatly missed. A private Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends.
