Jean Louise Hughes, 51, of Williamsport passed away Tuesday December 4. She was born September 13, 1967 in Williamsport, PA to John Carlton Hughes, Sr. and Janice Louise Green. Jean graduated from High School in Williamsport, and went on to get her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

Jean spent considerable time and effort supporting her community serving as the United Way Day of Caring Organizer, a member of the Williamsport Jaycees, working in several positions as a Daughter of Nancy Wiley Wilson Temple #1036 Aux of Elks, and countless volunteer hours with various charities. She was an avid bowler and competed in several local leagues, and the go to person for mac-n-cheese and coleslaw. Jean also loved baking Christmas cookies.

Jean gave endlessly and lovingly of herself to others, especially her two children: Christopher Caskey of Williamsport, Janice Lashanda Hayes of Manlius, NY and grandchildren: Dominick, Jianna, and Demarco Hayes who were the sunshine of her life. She is also survived by two brothers: John, Jr. and Jeffrey Hughes, Sr.; and a sister-in-law: Monique Hughes. Jean was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends and family are invited the Maneval Allen Redmond funeral Home 500 West 4th Street, Williamsport, PA 17701 to pay tribute to Jean’s life from 4-5pm Wednesday December 12, 2018, service to follow at 5pm with Minister Joey Baity officiating.
