Jean’s Obituary Jean Marie Murphy, 77, of Merrimack, NH and Sangerville, ME, passed Monday, January 28, 2019 peacefully in her sleep at The Arbors of Bedford. She was born on June 23, 1941 in Boston, MA to Chester and Mary (McInnis) Derzanski. Growing up, Jean had 2 other siblings that she is survived by Donna LaValley and Warren Derzanski.

Jean married Ward LaValley Sr. and Charles Murphy (predeceased) Jean is survived by her 4 loving children: Ward LaValley Jr. (Joy LaValley), Jeannie McNicholas (Gary McNicholas), Chet LaValley, and Chris Murphy (Vanessa Murphy); 5 wonderful grandchildren: Amanda Greenwood (Dana Greenwood), Kyle LaValley (Ericka LaValley), Kaitlin LaValley, Christian Murphy, and Mia Murphy, and by 4 gentle great-grandkids: Kaidrien, Skyler, Michaela, and Griffin. Jean grew up listening to country music and was an aspiring singer with a beautiful voice. She enjoyed being with family and friends, in her spare time you could catch her listening to Patsy Cline.

Jean had a hardworking and gentle soul, she could light a room just by her smile. Calling hours will be at the Rivet Funeral, 425 Daniel Webster Highway Merrimack, NH on Wednesday, February 6th from 6 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack on Friday, February 8th at 10 AM.

Burial will follow at Last Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to The American Brain Foundation at www.
