Jean Ruth Yocom (nee Meyer), 98, of North Ridgeville passed away peacefully Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake following a long illness. She was born July 12, 1920 in Pottsville, PA. Jean was a former resident of Allentown, PA where she was a member of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, and also resided in Bethlehem, PA.

Luther Sr.; parents Roland F. Sr. and Louise P. Meyer (nee Bellon); sister Louise Shuster; brothers Roland F. Jr., James G., Robert L.; niece Nancy Gangloff.

Family will receive friends 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM Saturday, January 12, 2018 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church 360 Princeton Ave. Elyria, Ohio 44035. Pastor Becki Verbridge will officiate.

Burial Private. The family would like to thank the staff of the Hospice of the Western Reserve for their care and compassion that they showed to Jean. In lieu of flowers the family suggests those who wish may make donations to Emmanuel Lutheran Church or Hospice of the Western Reserve 300 E. 185th Street Cleveland, Ohio 44119 or at hospicewr.org .
