Obituary for Jean Snow Jean Snow, 78, of Pittsfield passed away on Monday, December 17, 2018 at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Great Barrington on December 6, 1940 the daughter of Harvey and Gertrude Porter Snow, she was a graduate of Searles High School. Jean worked for Hillcrest Educational Center at the Highpoint Campus for many years.

She had previously worked as a waitress at several area restaurants including Carnutes Restaurant, the Sugar Bowl and the Salt and Pepper. She had also enjoyed bartending at the VFW. The joy of Jean’s life was her dog Shannon and her many pet cats.

She enjoyed playing cards and played in local pitch leagues. She also enjoyed music and attending concerts with her sons. Jean liked visiting museums and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her two sons, Jeff Snow and Kevin Snow, both of Pittsfield, as well as her sisters, Joyce Schram and Elaine Miller, her brothers, Ted and Bruce Snow, and her sister-in-law, Cecile Snow. She was predeceased by her brother, Richard Snow. Funeral Notice: Funeral services for Jean Snow will be Friday, December 21, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. at Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North St., Pittsfield, with Reverend William Furey officiating.

Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday evening, December 20, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Berkshire Humane Society, care of the Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North St., Pittsfield, MA 01201 in her memory.
