Jean White Parker, age 79 of Oakman, GA, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at her residence. Jean was born on February 22, 1940 in Gordon County, GA to the late Rembert White and Kate Haynes White. In addition to her parents, Jean was also preceded in death by: her grandmother who raised her, Laura Hayes; two grandsons, Jonathan Cagle and Corey Cagle; and daughter, Lisa Lynn Parker.

She was a member of Fairview Church of God of the Oakman Community. Prior to her retirement, Jean was a LPN for Gordon Hospital, Calhoun Health Care and an elder caregiver. Jean is survived her husband, Clifford Parker; one son Jeff Parker and his wife Tammie; daughter, Gail Young and her husband Raymond all of Oakman; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, May 24th at 5 PM at Fairview Church of God of Oakman, GA with Reverend Richard Harkins and Lynn Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are: Kevin Parker, Kyle Parker, Raymond Young, Chris Ratcliff, Bill Farrist, Marshall Chastain, Gary Blaylock, and Mark Hendrix.

Jean will lie in state on Friday from 4 PM until the funeral hour at 5 PM at Fairview Church of God of Oakman, GA. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 PM until 7 PM at Thomas Funeral Home. You may leave the family online condolences at www.
