Jean Wolgemuth Breneman, 93, formerly of Manor Township, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2019 at Pleasant View Retirement Community. Born in Mount Joy, she was the daughter of the late John K. and Mae (Brubaker) Wolgemuth. Jean was the wife of the late Clifford W. Breneman who passed away March 3, 2010.

Jean was a graduate of the first class of Lancaster Mennonite School in 1943. She was very active in women’s ministry and teaching Sunday School at the former Masonville Mennonite Church now Living Light Mennonite Church. Recently she attended Landisville Mennonite Church.

Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jean will be missed by five children, Janet M. Breneman, wife of Wesley Newswanger of Lititz, Melvin R. Breneman, husband of Doris of Lancaster, Lois Mae Hege, wife of David of LaFarge, WI, Kenneth L. Breneman, husband of Jeanie of Elizabethtown and J. Larry Breneman, husband of Sandra of Washington Boro; fifteen grandchildren, thirtyfive great grandchildren; a sister, Lois B. Wolgemuth of Lititz; and John H. Wolgemuth, husband of Thelma of Mount Joy. She was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Wolgemuth and a brother, Lloyd Wolgemuth.

A memorial service honoring Jean’s life will be held at the Hoffer Auditorium at Pleasant View Retirement Community, 544 North Penryn Road, Manheim on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 11 AM. Family and friends may view at the auditorium on Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 6 PM to 8PM. Please note this is the only viewing time.

Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant View Retirement Community Benevolent Fund, 544 Penryn Road, Manheim, PA 17545.
