Obituary for Jeanine Barbara Baumstark Jeanine Barbara Baumstark, age 78, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018 at St. Francis Home of Saginaw. Jeanine was born April 6, 1940 in Washington, D.C. the daughter of Frank and Jennie Druzba. Jeanine was united in marriage to Reynold Baumstark on August 27, 1960 in Boston, MA.
She was a RN and worked several places such as Brooklyn VA Hospital and as a night supervisor at Dobbs-Ferry Hospital in Dobbs-Ferry, NY. Jeanine and Reynold moved to Michigan in 1972 at which point Jeanine decided to focus completely on being a full-time mom. Jeanine traveled all over the world with her husband and friends.
Her other passion was playing bridge with the gals. Jeanine volunteered at Henry Ford Hospital when her family lived in Detroit and continued to be active in various charities and organizations including St. Mary’s Hospital, Saginaw Dental Wives and the Saginaw Symphony. She was a long time member of the Saginaw Country Club and St. Stephen’s Church.
Jeanine is survived by her loving husband of 58 years; Reynold, her three children; Jennifer (Tom) Murphy, James (Patricia) Baumstark and Eric (Heather) Baumstark, one grandchild; Sean Murphy, three sisters; Shirley Drenzek, Georgianna Childs and Edith (Phillip) Creter, three brother-in-laws; Charles (Barbara), Barry (Martha) and Anthony (Lyn) Baumstark, numerous nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Jeanine was preceded in death by her parents and two brother-in-laws; Joseph Drenzek and Harris Childs. FUNERAL: Honoring Jeanine’s wishes cremation has taken place.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Noon at St. Dominic Catholic Parish, St. Stephen Campus, 1310 Malzahn. Rev. Fr.
Steve Gavit to officiate. VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at Deisler Funeral Home 2233 Hemmeter Rd (off State) on Friday, December 14, 2018 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM.
