Jeannette “Jan” Libberton November 2, 1954 – February 11, 2019 Rochelle Jeannette “Jan” Libberton, 64, passed away Monday, February 11, 2019, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford. Jan was born November 2, 1954 in Rochelle, the daughter of Gerald and Cathryn P. (Bates) Ludwig. She married Ed Libberton of April 13, 2002 at Franklin Creek in Franklin Grove, IL.

Jan was a graduate of Rochelle Township High School. She was a lifelong member of the Rochelle United Methodist Church. Recently, Jan had joined Anytime Fitness in Rochelle in order to improve her health.

She fit right in and made many new friends. Jan is survived by her husband, Ed, of Rochelle; daughter, Stacee (Michael Cox) Droege of Oakland, CA; son, Eric (Amanda Lee) Droege of Rochelle; her mother, Cathryn Ludwig one brother, L.H. “Ray” Ludwig of Sycamore; two sisters, Patricia Ludwig (Darryl) Crum of DeKalb, IL and Millicent (Steve) Richard of Peosta, IA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Jan is preceded in death by her father, Gerald Ludwig.

Visitation will be from 4-8 P.M. Thursday, February 14, 2019, at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St. in Rochelle. Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, February 15, 2019, at the funeral home with Pastor Rob Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Memory Gardens in Rochelle.
