OBITUARY Jeff Melton Otts May 9, 1966 – October 22, 2018 Jeffrey Melton Otts, a resident of Prairieville passed away at his home on Monday, October 22, 2018 at the age of 52. Jeff was a loving family man, who enjoyed spending time and making memories with his family and friends. He enjoyed cooking and watching LSU football.

He was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him. Jeff is survived by his life partner, Maggie Alexander; children, Sarah, Emily, and Matthew Makin; mother, Velma Kay Otts (Bob Bordeaux), sisters, Janet Wellerman (Blake), Tina Prejean (Edward); nieces and nephews, Robby Noe (Shanna Bourgeois), Amanda Gautreau (Cody), Summer Prejean, William “Scooter” Prejean; great nephews, Braden Lowry and Lawson Gautreau. Jeff is preceded in death by his father, Reno Otts and nephew, Dusty Prejean.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 at Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will resume on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales from 9:00 am until a service to celebrate Jeff’s life at 11:00 am. Interment will follow Carpenter’s Chapel Cemetery in Prairieville.

Scooter Prejean, Robby Noe, Bryant White, Jason Alexander, Joshua Alexander, Scott Wellerman, Darrell Blanchard, and Ronnie Palmer will serve as pallbearers.
