OBITUARY Scott Lee Bowman September 23, 1966 – September 24, 2018 Bowman, Scott Lee, 52, a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Prairieville passed away on Monday, September 24, 2018 in Alberta, Canada. Having earned a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology from Southeastern and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from LSU, Scott began work at Dow Chemical as a Mechanical Engineer in 2002. Scott also served as a Jet Engine Mechanic in the Louisiana Air National Guard and retired in May of 2017 after 24 years of service.

Scott lived life to the fullest. He loved to travel the world and the country with his family, scuba dive, ride his motorcycle, and participate in Scouting. Scott is survived by his wife of 21 years Cyndi Bowman; mother Carolyn Bowman; children Lacey and Zachary Bowman; brother Greg Bowman and wife Misty and their daughter Emily Jenkins; Aunt Germaine Joubert and husband Larry; cousins: Tammy Young, Katrina Larey, Blenda Gour, and Wayne Joubert.

Scott is preceded in death by his father John Taylor Bowman. Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home on Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 9:00 am until a celebration of Scott’s life at 12:00 pm followed by military honors. There will be no graveside service.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Evers, Craig Dejean, Robb Craiglow, Mickey Poche, Philip Spillane, and Paul Alleman. Condolences may be left for the family by visiting www. oursofh.com.
