Jeffery Lloyd, February 18, 1955 — February 10, 2019

Jeffery Lloyd, 63, of Enon, passed away February 10, 2019 in Springfield, Ohio. Jeff was born on February 18, 1955 to Robert and Mary Lloyd of Yellow Springs. He proudly graduated from Greenon High School in 1973 and briefly played football at Earlham College in Richmond, IN.

Jeff made a name for himself playing sports at Greenon and later became an active member of the Athletic Boosters of his alumni. He remained an Enon resident all his life and lived happily surrounded by his large group of lifelong friends and family. In 1988, Jeff married the love of his life, Cynthia (Bachtell) Lloyd and they shared a wonderful 31 years together.

Jeff was most proud of his 3 children and the adults they have become. A true family man, Jeff was the epitome of hard work, honesty and kindness. Jeff will be remembered most for his unwavering friendship and generosity to put his own needs aside to help others.

In August 2018, Jeff retired from the University of Dayton facilities management team. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, riding his motorcycle, tending to his ever-growing vegetable garden, fishing, reading, and tinkering in his garage. Jeff was preceded in death by his father Robert Lloyd and mother, Mary (Peggy) Lloyd.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Cynthia; his son: Kyle Lloyd of Brooklyn, NY; his daughters: Sara (Ryan) Connell of Houston, TX and Ally Lloyd of Enon, OH; two sisters: Becky (Dave) Minard of Springfield, OH and Pam Upper of Springfield; his father-in-law, Jack Bachtell- Springfield, OH; his brother and sister-in-law, Marc and Barb Masquelier; nieces, Lauren (Jack) Leopard and Vivienne- Beavercreek, OH, Elise Masquelier- Miamisburg, OH and Lianne Masquelier- Enon, OH, Tracy Wood- Yellow Springs, OH, Rosemary (Jerry) Downs and Devin, Wyatt- Cookesville, TN; nephew, Matt (Keri) Minard and Madeline- Lakeview, OH. Jeff will be remembered lovingly by his two granddaughters, McKenna & Elliott Connell and a third grandchild expected in August 2019. A celebration of his life will be held from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Adkins Funeral Home in Enon, Ohio followed by his burial.
