Obituary for Jeffrey “Buff” Brown Jeffrey “Buff” Brown On May 25th, 2018 Jeffrey “Buff” Brown left this world while doing exactly what he loved doing – riding his bike. He rode his bike everywhere! His bike was his most prized material possession, and on this day, he pedaled his way right through to the other side where he most surely was greeted by his parents and two big brothers!

Jeff was born June 22, 1955. He was a twin. His birth came 25 minutes after his sister’s and it was a total surprise!

This set the precedence for Jeff’s life. He was unpredictable. He was a free spirit.

He had a wandering soul. He lived life HIS way. He grew up in Spanish Fork, Utah, graduating from Spanish Fork High in 1973.

He married his high school sweetheart, had 3 beautiful children, and was later blessed with 3 grandchildren. Jeff was employed by Red-E-Mix Concrete in Orem for most of his working years, where he was trained as a diesel mechanic, a trade at which he excelled and enjoyed very much. He would later use these skills, amongst others, to keep busy with side jobs.

He was grateful to his good friend, Mike Evans, for providing him with work throughout the recent past years. Jeff had a big heart and a contagious laugh. There was not a person he did not like and was a friend to everyone.

He always had a funny comment no matter the situation. He had a nickname for everyone. His daughter was “Brooker-doo”.

His sons were “Buster Brown” (Dan) and “Charge” (Landon). He dubbed his granddaughters “gorgeous,” and his only grandson was “s*#t stack! ” It was all done endearingly, and you knew you were loved if his sarcasm was directed toward you.

Jeff loved the outdoors. Fishing at Scofield was his absolute favorite! Although Jeff was a free spirit and wandering soul, it was no accident that he spent the last month of his life with his family, those that meant the very most to him.

He was staying in Nephi with his daughter, Amity, helping her with her latest project of renovating a home. He thoroughly enjoyed being around his family, creating a month of memories that will last an entire lifetime! Jeff is survived by his best friend and mother of his children, Beverly Carlson Brown; daughter, Amity; sons Daniel and Landon; granddaughters Ciara (Austin) Jasperson and Alex Ann Marsh; grandson, Ridge Marsh; sisters Jerolyn (Roy) Beers and Jeanine (Jack) Stickney.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clayton and Berniece Brown, Spanish Fork and brothers, Duane and David. Graveside services will be held Monday, June 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Spanish Fork City Cemetery. Please bring a memory or story to share in celebration of Jeff’s life!
