Obituary for Jeffrey Staus Jeffrey Dean Staus, 53 of Sparta, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Born Wednesday, May 5, 1965 in Lawrence, Kansas, he was the son of Dorothy Loney Kirby and Edward Staus. He is survived by his daughters, Nicole Risi (Nick) of Moore, Oklahoma and Courtney Staus of Oskaloosa, Kansas; son, Colton Staus of Butte, Montana; mother, Dorothy Kirby (Dan) of Sparta; father, Edward Staus (Carole) of Lawrence, Kansas; brothers, Alan Staus of Ozawkie, Kansas and Gary Staus of Baldwin, Kansas; grandchildren, Vonn Risi and Nikaia Risi; many aunts and uncles also survive.

No services are planned at this time. A Celebration of Life service will be planned at a later date in Lawrence, Kansas.
