Jeffrey L. Baker of Albee Township, age 74, passed away early Thursday morning, March 7, 2019, at his home with his family at his side. Per his wishes, his body was donated to The University of Michigan Medical School. A Celebration of his life will be held this Summer at his cottage.

Jeffrey was born May 16, 1944, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was united in marriage to Joan M. Niewiadomski in Grand Rapids in 1967. They became longtime residents of Albee Township.

Jeff was a Mechanical Contractor and owned and operated Jeff Baker Refrigeration, Inc. for 44 years. He was a US Veteran and a member and Past Commander of American Legion Post 212 of Chesaning. He enjoyed sailing, boating, and building.

Together with his wife, they built their own home and cottage. Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Joan; their children, Paula (Brian) Mathes; Dee (Rob) Maxwell, and Frank (Missy) Baker; and their grandchildren, Beckett, Emma, Luke, Mya, and Artem.
