Jennifer Stratford Yeaton, 50 died Friday, January 25, 2019 at her home in Portland surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on May 19, 1968 in Columbia, SC the daughter of the late John M. Stratford and the late Carolyn J. Baber. Jennifer graduated from Terry Sanford High School Class of 1986 in Fayetteville, NC.

After high school she married Dirk W. Yeaton and moved to Maine where she birthed two children, Benjamin Samuel Yeaton and Elizabeth Paige Yeaton. She went on to earn an associate degree in business, spent most of her working years as a kitchen designer and finished her career with Hancock Lumber. The last 12 years of her life were spent with her partner, Anthony H. Delano.

Jennifer was known for her fiery spirit, gift of gab, twisted sense of humor, quick wit, colorful dresses, love of games, books and flamingos. Family will fondly remember her Troll Dance, silly rhythm and hearty laugh. She was an inspiration to all and a mentor to many cancer patients during her courageous 5 year battle with pancreatic cancer.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Carolyn Kowalski. In addition her children, survivors include a twin brother, John Stratford of S. Carolina, nephews, Zachariah Kowalski and Charles Shadzad of Virginia, niece, Zoë Shadzad and her fiancé Isaiah Howard and great niece, Naomi. The family extends special thanks to extended family members, her work family at Hancock Lumber, her personal friends and her team of doctors and nurses.

We are grateful for all the love and care she received. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 12 noon at the Eastpoint Christian Church, 345 Clarks Pond Pkwy, South Portland. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a charity of your choice.
