Obituary for JERI ELIZABETH AUGENSTEIN (Hill) Jeri Elizabeth Augenstein, 52, of Carlshend Rd. , Skandia, passed away peacefully Monday morning, December 10, 2018 at her home with her loving family by her side and under the care of Lake Superior Life Care & Hospice. Jeri was born June 14, 1966 in Negaunee to Jerry J. Hill and Genevieve (Juchemich) Hill, graduated from Negaunee High School, Class of 1984 and was a lifelong area resident.

Following high school, she completed her cosmetology schooling, but followed a different career path, working in the dietary field in the health care sector, both at the Mather Nursing Home and Marquette General Hospital. Jeri had a passion for anything that could be done outdoors. She loved hunting, fishing, berry picking, campfires, the changing of the seasons and was especially passionate about kayaking.

Jeri was also an avid reader and enjoyed a good movie. Surviving are her father, Jerry (Neva) Hill of Negaunee; mother, Genevieve Hill of Negaunee; her loving husband, Mark A. Augenstein of Skandia; two step-daughters: Ashley (Jake) Glass and their son, Jordan of Ishpeming and Callan (Tom) Marshall and their son, Cohen of Columbus, MT; two brothers, Raymond (Cindy) Hill of Negaunee and Wayne (Becky) Hill of Palmer; step-brother, Bryan (Christy) Waters of Ishpeming; step-sisters, Brenda (Shawn) Kurian of Gwinn and Gail (Dale) Varty of Negaunee; nephews, Johnathan and Jeremy Hill; niece, Danielle (Jason) Rybaczuk; father-in-law, Bruce (Peggy) Augenstein; sister-in-law, Diane; brothers-in-law, Don (Nancy) and Todd (Mandy); numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and special best friend, Les Burnette. She was preceded in death by her beloved pup, Gracie.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, Decemeber 15th at the Koskey Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Tooman officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00 am until the time of services at noon at the funeral home on Saturday.
