Jerome P. “Jerry” Dera 66 of Charleroi, died Sunday December 2, 2018 at Monongahela Valley Hospital. Born April 2, 1952 in N. Charleroi a son of Chester R. and Stephanie Putko Dera. Jerry was a US Navy veteran having served during the Vietnam War and he was a member of the American Legion Post #22 Charleroi.

He is survived by a brother Mike (Pamela) Dera of Charleroi, a sister Terry (Will) Klorczyk of Monongahela, nephew Ted (Krista) Klorczyk, a niece Julie Klorczyk, great niece Daphne Klorczyk and a sister-in-law Charlene Dera of Belle Vernon. Besides his parents Jerry was preceded in death by his brother Chet Dera. Visitation will be held on Saturday December 8, 2018 in the Melenyzer Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc, from 10:00am-12:00 noon at which time funeral services will take place with Rev.

Sheldon Barnette. Private interment will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
