Obituary for Mr. Jerry Brent Atkins Mr. Jerry B. Atkins, 73, of Murray, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018, at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House in Murray. Mr. Atkins was born on January 15, 1945 in Murray to the late Brent and Euple Colson Atkins. He was an avid fisherman and was of Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister, Norma Jean Wolfgang. Those surviving include his loving wife, Cherie Atkins of Murray; two sons, Jerry Atkins (Kathy) of Marshall County, Tommy Atkins (Becky) of Murray; a daughter, Kerie Sturm (Pete) of Paducah; a step son, Eric Schmidt (Mary Anne) of Owensboro; two brothers, Bobby Atkins of Murray, Ricky Atkins of Cottage Grove, TN; two sisters, Nancy Parker of Lexington, Nita Galloway of Louisville; 12 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Mr. Atkins is set for Friday, November 23, 2018 at 12 PM at Imes Funeral Home & Crematory, downtown Murray.

James Stom will officiate and burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 10 AM-12 PM on Friday, November 23, 2018 at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House, 1959 SR 94 West, Murray, KY 42071.
