Jerry Lee Tosh, 71, of South Haven passed away Friday, May 3, 2019 at his home under hospice care. He was born May 27, 1947 to Walter and Lizzie (Mayes) Tosh in Portageville, Missouri. Jerry married Linda Holmes on December 30, 1978 in South Haven.

He worked as a mechanic at Bohn Aluminum until its closing and then for Pullman Industries for ten years until his retirement in 2009. Jerry loved to spend his mornings having coffee at McDonalds in town. He also loved to go deer hunting and collected knives.

He enjoyed his vegetable garden and grew enough for the entire neighborhood. Jerry served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Ricky Tosh and siblings – Annie Ford, Mary Bush, James Tosh, Eugene Tosh, and George Tosh.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda Tosh, Children – Jimmy (Bridgette) Holmes Jr., of South Haven, Sherri Wattrick of Bay City, Michigan, and Becky (Rob) Meek and Rosemary (Bob) Lucker both of Benton Harbor. Grandchildren – Brian and Kenny Tosh, Andrea Bale, Jimmy Holmes III, Michael Myrick, Ryan Lucker, and Alyssa Six. Great Grandchildren – Jacob, Monroe and Violet.

Siblings – Laura Russell of Wichita, Kansas, Christine Casteel of Hayti, Missouri, Henry Tosh of South Haven, Michigan, Bobbie (Betty) Tosh of Ocola, Florida, and Linda Johnston of Austin, Texas. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 8, from 5:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Memorial services will follow at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Caring Circle Hospice, 05055 Blue Star Highway, South Haven, MI 49090.
