Jerry Martin Minteer of Niles, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 5:35 p.m. in the Hospice House surrounded by his loving family. He was 57. Jerry was born on October 8, 1960 in New Castle, the son of the late Merle and Florence Emricks Minteer.

He was a graduate of New Castle School Systems. Following high school, Jerry proudly joined the United State Navy and honorably served our country. Mr. Minteer was the owner and operator of Sun’s Cleaning Company for over 15 years.

Jerry enjoyed fishing and was passionate about bowling. He liked to watch football and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. The most important part in Jerry’s life was his family, he cherished the memories they made together.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Dressel Minteer, whom he married September 20, 1997; a daughter, Tonya Minteer of Girard; 2 sons, Jerry “BJ” Minteer of Niles, and Dave Keith of Elwood City, PA; a sister, Judy Antoniotti of New Castle; 3 brothers, Paul Copple, Jim Minteer, and Gary Minteer all of New Castle; 14 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Donna Zack, Deloris Rao, and Angel Mills; 3 brothers, Ed Minteer, Tony Copple, and Sam Copple. Following the funeral service, full military honors will be rendered.
