Donald L. Nicholl Sr. of Masury, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 6:45 a.m. in his son’s residence in Cortland surrounded by his family. He was 60. Donald was born May 26, 1958 in Warren, the son of the late James and Mae Phillips Nicholl.

He was a graduate of Western Reserve High School. Mr. Nicholl was employed for over 30 years at PI & I Motor Express. At the beginning of his employment, Donald worked as a diesel mechanic, however the past he few years he worked in the parts department.

Don was an avid racing fan, he was passionate about various types of racing, from motor cycles, and dirt tracks, to NASCAR. In his spare time, he looked forward to spending time next to his favorite fishing hole. Most importantly he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Mr. Nicholl is survived by a daughter, Veronica (Daniel) Grilli of Hubbard; 2 sons, Donald L. Nicholl Jr. and his companion Debbie Persin of Cortland and Patrick Nicholl of Masury; a sister, Nancy Pape of Cortland; 3 brothers, Jimmy (Louise) Nicholl of Naples, FL, Larry Nicholl of Cortland, and Ron Nicholl of Warren; 4 grandchildren, Caleb, Carter, Breanna, and Natalie; In addition, Donald is also survived by his long-time companion, Beth Perry and her daughter Megan Perry.
