Obituary for Jerry Ray Roberts Mr. Jerry Ray Roberts, age 74 of Sparta, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019, at his residence. Born Thursday, May 25, 1944 in Whitesville, West Virginia , he was the son of the late Herbert Roberts and the late Ella Brock Roberts. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.

Surviving family members include the following: His wife of 51 years, Linda Bryant Roberts 2 daughters – Lisa Broyles of Sparta Shelly Land of Chattanooga 2 grandsons – Logan Land (Jessica) of Sparta Bryant Broyles of Sparta granddaughter – Hanna Land of Chattanooga great grandson – Garret Land 2 sisters – Linda O’Neil of Savannah, Georgia Sue Hale of Sparta Many nieces and nephews also survive.
