Jerry Stanley, 82, of Rock Island, passed away Friday November 23, 2018 at UPH Trinity, Rock Island. A memorial service will be 10:30am Monday at Hope United Church of Christ, Moline. A time of fellowship will follow the service.

Jerry was born on May 12, 1936 in Hampton, Twp, the son of Slester and Anna DeMont Stanley. He married Donna Berg on December 16, 1978. He had been employed at John Deere Harvester Work for 32 years.

Jerry was a member of the Mississippi Valley Country Music Association and the Hardee’s retiree breakfast club. Mr. Stanley had been an avid bowler, played guitar and loved listening to Johnny Cash. Survivors include his wife Donna; children, Kyle Stanley, Mark(Penny) Stanley, Craig Stanley, John (Michelle) Stanley, Matthew Pace, Karla (Brian) Hawotte, Jerry “Luke” Stanley; several grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; siblings, Sharon McDonald, Judy Campbell, Vickie Moore, Rick Stanley and Art Stanley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lester and sister, Sandy. Online condolences may be left for the family at wheelanpressly.com.
