Andover, Ohio – Jerry Stephen Hale, age 67, died on Saturday, March 23, 2019 after a brief illness. He was born on July 16, 1951 in Ashtabula, Ohio a son of Gene Eleanor (Stillman) Hale-Bradley and Reed G. Hale. Jerry was a 1970 graduate of Pymatuning Valley High School.

Formerly of Geneva, Ohio, Jerry began working for NAPA Auto Parts in Geneva. After a few years Jerry moved to Andover and began to manage the Andover NAPA becoming the owner and spending over thirty years in Andover. On June 19, 1970, he married his high school sweetheart Deborah Ann Reynolds.

Jerry spent over twenty years helping out the Andover Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Andover. He was known for his master grill skills and made anyone who stopped by feel at home. Jerry was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed traveling, rebuilding cars and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents and step-father, William Bradley; a sister, Sandy Lawver and four brothers, Larry Davis, James Hale, Bob Hale and Rick Hale. Survivors include his wife of forty-nine years, Debbie A. Hale; his daughter, Tracy L. (Robert) Archuleta of Andover; his son, Jerry J. (Anyanime) Hale of Taylors, South Carolina; the apple of his eye, granddaughter, Madisyn M. Hale-Archuleta of Andover; two nieces that he raised as his own, Tammy and Patricia Hale; two sisters, Penny Hale of Kentucky and Barbara (Max) King of Arizona and a brother, Donny Hale of Florida. Jerry will be missed by customers he thought of as friends and friends he thought of as family and last but not least his Yorkie Chewy.

To celebrate the Life of Jerry, the family will receive friends and family on Saturday, April 6th from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the family home, 6865 North Blvd. Andover, Ohio, 44003.
