Jerry Taylor April 10, 1944 – March 18, 2019 Share this obituary Upload Photo| Sign Guestbook Jerry Dwight Taylor, 74, of Hallsville, Texas passed away March 18, 2019 in the comfort of his home after a battle with cancer. Mr. Taylor was born on April 10, 1944 in Linden, Texas to John Taylor and Vade Burkham Taylor. His family moved to Dallas where he later graduated from Sunset High School.

Jerry was a long haul truck driver and enjoyed seeing the country. He was a Christian and looked forward to seeing his Savior Jesus Christ. He is survived by his wife, Jean Griffith Taylor; son, Andy Taylor; daughter, Kristi Taylor; brother, Emmitt Taylor; and sisters, Betty Richardson and Linda Morton.

Services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Union Hill Cemetery and under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be given to Texas Star Rescue, 749 Etheredge Road, Longview, Texas 75602.
