Obituary for Jesse Carl Richards Gaffney — Jesse Carl Richards, 71, of 418 Marietta St, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2018, at his home. A native of Cherokee County, Mr. Richards was the widower of Caroline Cobb Richards and the son of the late Lee Richards Sr. and Christine Skates Ledford. He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving Mr. Richards are two daughters, Lorrie and Teresa Richards; a brother, Lee Richards Jr; a sister, Shirley Earls; two grandchildren, Angela Richards and Jerry Delozier; and seven great-grandchildren. Jesse was preceded in death by his wife, parents, two sons, Steve and Robert Richards, a brother, J.G. Richards, and a granddaughter, Melissa Caudill. Arrangements for Mr. Richards will be announced at a later date.
