Jewell Agnes Luck of Steelville, Missouri passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the Meramec Nursing Center in Sullivan at the age of 103 years and 7 days. She was born October 13, 1915 in Long Lane, Missouri to Freeman and Elizabeth Ware. In 1937, Jewell was united in marriage to Clyde W. Luck who preceded her in death.

Jewell worked for several years in St. Louis as a machinist until her retirement. She always worked hard no matter if at work or at home. Jewell made many quilts by hand showing her artistic touch in whatever she did.

She enjoyed her flowers and years of gardening. Most of all she loved raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren and all of the family. Jewell was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clyde W. Luck; four brothers, Fred Ware and wife Alice, Zelmer Ware, Harley Ware and wife Alice and Leslie Ware and wife Sandy; and one sister, Elma Palmer and husband Standish.

She will be missed by her three sons, Darrell Luck of Steelville, MO, LeRoy Luck and wife Patricia of High Ridge, MO and Tom Luck and wife Betty of South Daytona, FL; four grandchildren, Ninetta Banderman, Kathy Diesel, Harvey Luck and James Luck; two step grandsons, Bill LaRue and Frank LaRue; one step-granddaughter, Karen Jenkins; fifteen great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren; The Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO. Committal prayer and interment will be in the Steelville Cemetery.
