Jewell Mae Payne, age 85, of Heber Springs passed away December 20, 2018 at Southridge Nursing Home and Rehab. Born November 6, 1933, in Bethesda, Arkansas she was the daughter of the late George and Ruby Kirkland Campbell. She had worked as a nursing home employee at Lakewood Nursing Home in Heber Springs.

She was a member of Campground Methodist Church in Bethesda, Arkansas. Her hobbies consisted of quilting and taking care of her flowers. The family stated that she dearly loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Payne and her parents, George and Ruby Kirkland Campbell. Survivors include two daughters, Paula Hefner and husband Todd of Rosebud, Arkansas and Elizabeth Broughton and husband Lynn of Bethesda, Arkansas; one brother, Ewell Campbell and wife Audrey of Batesville, Arkansas; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and many, many friends. No public services are planned at this time.
