Jewell Graham ‘Nanny’ Scott, 92, of Calhoun Falls, wife of the late Harold Joseph Scott, died Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at the Abbeville Nursing Home. She was born in Iva, SC to the late Lonnie and Cora Bridges Graham. Mrs. Scott was affectionately known as ‘Nanny Scott’.

Her family held her heart. She was a devoted mother and nanny to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Mrs. Scott retired from Rocky River Mills in Calhoun Falls after many years of loyal service.

She was an active, life-long member of Calhoun Falls Church of God. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Gilda Faye Scott Shirley; two sons, Thomas and Bill Scott; three brothers, Jack, Dave and Emory; five sisters, Lula, Beulah, Ruby, Annie and Winnie. Mrs. Scott is survived by two daughters, Dianne Dutton (Jerry) of Elberton and Linda Dale Hodges (Frankie) of Abbeville; two daughters-in-law, Brenda Scott of Calhoun Falls and Diane Scott of Texas; thirteen grandchildren, Michelle Scott Specht (Rick), Thomas Wayne Scott, Kathy Scott Fabian (John), Patricia Faye Shirley Falls (Mark), Gary Claude Shirley, Jr (Mary), Tracy Lynn Shirley Knight (Jeff), Regina McCall McKellar (Jeff), Tony McCall (Buffy), Juanita Dutton Hitchcock, Tammy Dutton Hall (Buddy), Brandi Hodges Sears (Shannon), Natali Hodges Lewis (Darren) and Holli Hodges Yates (Gilbert); thirty-one great-grandchildren, Courtney Shaddock, Johnathan Henry, Mason Scott, Caleb Scott, Ian Fabian, Emily Falls, Caroline Falls, Dixie Timms, Clint Holloway, Savannah Shirley, Lane Shirley, Levi Shirley, Courtney Knight, Jordan Knight, Hali McKellar McConnell (Wesley), Tyler McKellar (Corbin), Peri McCall Hoskin (Anthony), Colby McCall, Justin Hall (Kristin), Shelton Hall, Zackary Hitchcock, McKenly Hitchcock, Sara Beth Sears, Victoria Sears, Christian Lewis (Anna Grace), Hana Grace Lewis, Coleton Grounsell, Teagan Grounsell, Cohen Grounsell, Laylan Yates and Scottlin Yates; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10:00AM to 11:30AM Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Harris Funeral Home Calhoun Falls Chapel. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the Calhoun Falls Church of God with the Rev. Larry Hargrove and Rev.

Wayne Tyler officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. The family is the home of Mrs. Brenda Scott in Calhoun Falls.
