Jimmie’s Obituary Jimmie Joe Dunn was born on April 1, 1940, to Joe and Irene Dunn, in Yukon, Oklahoma. He passed away February 10, 2019 in Midwest City, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years. He graduated with honors in 1958 from El Reno High School.

He then served 4 years in the United States Navy. He married Earnestine Ellyson in 1960. To this union, two children were born, Deanna Dee and Jim Bob.

He worked as an Edmond Police Officer and a Central State University campus police officer once being honorably discharged from the Navy. He obtained several degrees from the Central State University. He then married Doris Jean Smith in 1985.

Upon retiring from the police department, he opened a small engine repair shop, “Jim’s Shop” in Edmond. He is preceded in death by his wife, Doris Jean Dunn, his sister, Joann Dunn and his parents. He is survived by his children, Deanna Case (Jim) of Guthrie, Oklahoma and Jim Bob Dunn (Shannon) of Crescent, Oklahoma; two sisters Alice Walter of Edmond and Marilyn Price (Glen) of Anadarko; five grandchildren, Jacob Case (Meagan) of Oklahoma City, Samantha Case of Guthrie, Mark Wilson (Jaynann) of Crescent, Cherokee Donaldson (Billy) of Crescent and Braiden Garcia (Tylor) of Crescent; and four great grandchildren, Lacey Case, Ruger Donaldson, Dawson Donaldson and Bridger Wilson.

Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 14, 2019 at the Yukon Cemetery with Brother John Lovett officiating.
