Jimmy G. “Jimbo” Martin, 61, of Fountain Hill, died Tuesday, May 22, 2018. Mr. Martin was a native and lifelong resident of Fountain Hill and a 1975 graduate of Fountain Hill High School. He was a member of the Arkansas National Guard for 13 years and worked for the Georgia-Pacific Corporation for 32 years.

Mr. Martin was a member of Judson Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon and taught Sunday School. He loved spending time and playing with his grandchildren and was known as Uncle Jimbo to many kids. An avid Razorback fan, he enjoyed college football, grilling, woodworking, hunting and fishing.

He is preceded in death by his father, Frank Edward Martin in 1990 and a brother, Freddie Martin in 1971. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Patricia Craig Martin of Fountain Hill; two daughters, Janet Martin of Hamburg and Shelly Martin of Crossett; a son, Steven Martin of Fountain Hill; his mother, Ruth Culp Martin of Fountain Hill; two brothers, Robert Martin and wife, Missy, of Hamburg and Frankie Martin and wife, Donna, of Fountain Hill; a sister, Brenda Leigh and husband, Danny, of Bryant; four grandchildren, William, Robert, Karlie and Maggie Mae and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 10 a.m., Saturday, May 26, 2018 at the Judson Missionary Baptist Church.

Burial will be in the Judson Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jason Craig, Dennis Cox, Wade Culp, John Paul Craig, Bobby Ray Miller, Timmy Allison and Brian Leigh. Honorary pallbearers are his Coffee Drinking Buddies of the Fountain Hill Store and the Fountain Hill High School Class of 1975.

Memorials may be made to the Judson Cemetery Association, c/o Mr. Dennis Cox, 2512 HWY 425 N., Hamburg, AR 71646. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
