Jim Elwood Harmon,79, of Wardensville, WV died on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Jim was born on March 26, 1939 in Harrisonburg, VA, the son of the late Preston and Goldie Hoover Harmon. He spent 30+ years at the Rinker Orchards in Stephen City, VA working as a laborer picking apples.

Harmon (Dan Buckley) all of Wardensville, WV; 5 sisters: Doris Lewis of Oregon; Cissy Martin of Florida; Judy Davis of Tennessee; Mary Hottinger of Fort Sibert, WV; Della Varnadoe of Florida; five grandchildren: Brooke, Austin, Caitlin Strickler, Tyler Harmon, and Daniel Buckley.

One great-grandchild: Nathaniel Cassel. A funeral service will be held at the Loy-Giffin Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 3rd, 2018 at 11 AM. Officiating will be Rev.

Michael Funkhouser. Interment will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery near Wardensville. The family will receive friends at the Loy-Giffin Funeral Home in Wardensville on Tuesday, October 2nd from 6-8 PM.
