Jimmy Ray “Jimbo” Ketcherside, 41, of Plains, KS passed away on January 4, 2019 at the Meade District Hospital in Meade, KS. He was born on September 22, 1977 to Jimmy and Donna (Johnson) Ketcherside at Guymon, OK. Jimbo spent a part of his childhood in Guymon, OK,.

When he was 10 he and his family moved to Kismet, KS where he attended Kismet Schools and then Southwestern Heights High School; graduating class of 1997. Jimbo had worked for many places but enjoyed working as a Cowboy for Bar W Ranch, Harvey’s Electric, and as a self employed Welder the most. He loved animals including his two dogs Rip and Oscar.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, welding, the outdoors and spending time with his daughter Rylee Ray. Jimbo is survived by his Daughter- Rylee Ray Ketcherside & Rylee’s mother- Kayla Saucedo of Plains, KS; Mother- Donna Ketcherside and long time companion Mark Kneeland of Plains, KS; Sister- Monica Ray Cox of Plains, KS; Brother, Chad Esser of Park City, KS; Grandmother- Patricia Ann Johnson of Guymon, OK; three Uncles- Robbie Johnson and wife Kelly of Goodwell, OK; JB and Darlene Ketcherside of Guymon, OK; Ronnie Ketcherside of Kiowa, OK; two Aunts- Charlotte Cesarano of Guymon, OK and Nancy Johnson of Guymon, OK; Several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Stepfather- JB Esser; Father, Jimmy Ray Ketcherside; Grandfather – Robert C. Johnson; Grandparents- Joe and Mary Ketcherside; Uncle – Randy Johnson; Aunt- Mary Jo Ketcherside Viewing will be 1:00 pm – 8:00 pm Friday, January 11, 2019, at Miller Mortuary, Liberal, KS.

Funeral Services will be 10:00am Saturday, January 12, 2019, at the First United Methodist Church of Plains, KS with Pastor Terry Mayhew, officiating; cremation will follow the service.
