Betty Jo Moon, 83, of Tyrone, passed away on Saturday March 16, 2019 at the Beaver County Memorial Hospital in Beaver, OK. She was born on September 6, 1935 to James P and Pearl (Getz) Sanger at Weld Co., CO. On October 2, 1953 she married Bobbie Dean Moon at Liberal, KS; he preceded her in death on February 13, 2014.

Betty Jo was a graduate of Liberal High School. She was a stay at home mom when her son Barr was growing up. She later went to work as a Caregiver at Mosaic, where she worked for 20+ years.

She was a 20+ year member of 4H, where she was a former 4H Leader. Betty Jo enjoyed being around horses, attending stock shows, watching football, camping at Lake Altus & the Beaver Campgrounds and loving on her grandchildren. Betty is survived by her Son, Barr Moon of Tyrone, OK; Granddaughter, Dakota Dodge of Liberal, KS; Grandson, Kyler Moon of TX; Two Great-Grandson, Brekken Holdeman of Turpin, OK and Huxley Dodge of Liberal, KS.

She was also preceded in death by Four Brothers and One Sister Viewing will be 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at Miller Mortuary, Liberal, KS. Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, March 21, 2019, at the Miller Mortuary Chapel in Liberal, with Pastor Rex Petty, officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberal City Cemetery.
