Obituary for Jo Nell Barlow Jo Nell Barlow of Pickett Community passed away on October 25, 2018 at the age of 84. Jo Nell was born in Corsicana on June 14, 1934 to Roland Leslie and Nellie B. (Fitzgerald) Sherrard. She raised many cattle over the years and liked to ride horses.

She was a member of the Central Texas Quarter Horse Association and has a collection of trophies from her years competing in western pleasure events in Navarro and surrounding counties. In her fifties, she went back to school at Navarro College to become an LVN and worked in that field until she retired in her mid-seventies. She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmie Barlow, sister Barbara Jayne Wright, and brother Roland Leslie Sherrard, Jr

She is survived by her sister Vera Dell Ivie; brother Everett Lee Sherrard, and brother Cody Earl Sherrard; daughter Cynthia Ruth Lee of Alma, Georgia; son Jimmie Barlow Jr. of Pickett, and son Johnnie Leslie Barlow of Webster, Texas; grandsons Steven Dale Aston, Jimmy Daniel Aston, Leslie O’Neill Barlow, Nicholas Barlow, and Taylor Barlow; and great-grandson, Paxton Barlow. A Graveside service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery on Thursday November 1st at 2:00 pm under the direction of Corley Funeral Home.
