Obituary for Joan Burden Burrell Print Loving Mother and Grandmother, Joan Burden Burrell, 85, of Sallis, passed away February 7, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, February 10th at Culpepper Funeral Home Chapel in Kosciusko, MS; burial to follow at Harmonia Cemetery in Sallis, MS. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm prior to services.

Lynn Cain will officiate. Mrs. Burrell was a member of Harmonia Congregational Methodist Church. She was a retired seamstress and Wal-Mart employee.

She is survived by her daughter, Rita Burrell (Daryl Jones); brother, Gene Burden (Barbara); sister, Betty Cain (Lynn); granddaughter, Aimee Burney (Jason); great grandchildren, David Mason Bock and Avery Womack. She is preceded in death by her parents, James M. and Beatrice T. Burden; husband, Thomas Burrell, Jr.; and son, Thomas Michael Burrell. Ms. Joan loved her cats and her home place.
