Obituary for Joan E. Arnold Joan E. Arnold, of Quakertown, formerly of Hilltown Township, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at the Fox Subacute Center, Warrington. She was 82. She was the beloved wife of the late Howard N. Arnold, Jr. for 39 years until his death in 2004.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Walter C. and Anna May (Stewart) Rodenberger. Joan was a graduate of Quakertown High School. Mrs. Arnold was a homemaker.

A talented seamstress, Joan had also enjoyed traveling, gardening, birdwatching, and canning. She also liked “antiquing” and restoring antique furniture. Most especially, she loved spending quality time with her friends and family, particularly her grandchildren.

Mrs. Arnold is survived by her four sons, Leonard S. Ziegler and his wife, Kathy, of Sellersville, Phillip J. Ziegler, of Bangor, David E. Ziegler and his wife, Heidi, of Pennsburg, Michael E. Arnold, of Quakertown, her daughter, Michele L. McGovern and her husband, Vincent, of Quakertown; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Walter Rodenberger, Jr., and his wife, Mary A., of Mays Landing, NJ; and a sister, Dianne Logsdon, and her husband, Carl, of Titusville, NJ.
