Joan Elliott McEntyre, age 86 of Dallas, GA. went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Wellstar Tranquility of Kennesaw. She was born November 28, 1932 in McDonough, GA.

to the late John Shirley and Leaman Crumbley Elliott and was preceded in death by her husband, Louis McEntyre, Sr Mrs. McEntyre was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved children, volunteered at the church nursery and taught Kindergarten for many years.

She was a devoted reader, especially God’s Holy word. She enjoyed traveling especially to different beaches in which she collected sand from all of them she visited. Survivors include her children, Sharon & Art Freeman of Acworth, GA, Brad & Marci McEntyre of Dallas, GA, Scott & Kimberly McEntyre of Hiram, GA, Maria & Michael Cash of Smyrna GA; brother, Troy & Mary Elliott; grandchildren, Nathan & Kasi Freeman, BJ Freeman, Gavin, Garrett(N), Gracyn, Garrett & Aly Cash, Emmie and Hannah; four great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at 2 PM from the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Jim Hardin and Scott McEntyre officiating. Interment will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, December 23, 2018 from 12 Pm until time of service.

In Lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to the LLS, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. 2859 Paces Ferry Rd. SE #725 Atlanta, Ga.
