Obituary for Joan J. Madey Madey, Joan J., 75, lifetime resident of Wallington, passed away Saturday, May 5th, 2018. Joan received her B.S. Degree in Nursing from William Paterson College, and her Masters Degree from New York University. Prior to her retirement in 2010, Joan was a Registered Nurse and Nurse Educator at Bloomfield College for six years.

Previously Joan was a Staff Nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Nursing School, taught at Felician College, and was a Staff Development Instructor at Bergen Pines Hospital. She was also a site visitor of the National League for Nursing – Council of ADN Programs. She was a parishioner of Most Sacred Heart of Jesus R.C. Church, in Wallington, as well as Extra Ordinary Minister of the Eucharist and Reader.

Joan was also a Third Order Carmelite of St. Mary’s R.C. Church in Closter. Joan was predeceased by her devoted parents, Julian and Lottie B. (Kolanski) Madey, and is survived by many loving friends. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Joan J. Madey please visit our Sympathy Store.
