Joan’s Obituary Joan Joy Pieper. 84, died Monday, January 28, 2019 at Glenbrook Heath and Rehab. Born in Lansing, Michigan, she was an only daughter to the late Jack and Neva Bennett.

Joan grew up close to her parents always helping her mother. She attended St. Andrews Lutheran Church and was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She loved canning, bingo, euchre, playing the organ, music and dancing.

She is survived by daughter, Neva Phommachanh; two grandchildren, Somsavanh (Maria) and Sockie (Amanda) Phommachanh; and two great grandchildren, Kye and Kora. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Melvin John Pieper, in 2009; daughter, Donna Ann Pieper, in 1966. No Services.

She was laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are to the Alzheimer’s Association.
