Joan Marquisa Kikel December 1, 1940 – February 11, 2019 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joan Kikel on February 11, 2019 at the age of 78. She passed away at Albany General Hospital with family by her side. Joan leaves 4 children to cherish her memory, Kevin Gero of Albany, OR, Suzette Gero, of Albany, OR, Trina Gero of Portland, OR, and Valiente Alonso of Jefferson City, MO.

She was the loving grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She also leaves her brother, Floyd Kikel of Gresham, OR, and sisters, Connie Kikel of Corvallis, OR, Carleen Zehr and Vicky Kuvaas of Albany, OR, and Millie Hutchinson of Lethbridge, Ab. , Canada.

She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Iva Kikel; brothers, Frank and Phil Kikel; and sister, Rita Kief. Joan always brought joy and laughter to all people no matter where she went. Her kind and loving heart seemed to bring out the best in all people who knew her.

Cremation was entrusted to Fisher Funeral Home. There will be a service held in her honor in July of 2019. Specific date to be determined later.
