Joann Davis November 7, 1930 – November 23, 2018 Joann Davis, 88, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Friday, November 23, 2018 at 5:10 am in Aperion Care Arbors at Michigan City. Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation on Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN. Funeral services will be held at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel at 12:00pm with Chaplain Lauren Mache officiating.

Joann was born November 7, 1930 in St. Joseph, Michigan to the late Elton and Helen (Bushey) Stinchcomb. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School before moving to Michigan City. She was also preceded in death by her bother, Robert Stinchcomb.

Surviving are four daughters, Debra Whiten of Michigan City, IN, Karen Whiten of Crown Point, IN, Patricia Desprez of Moreno Valley, CA and Susan Thomas of Michigan City, IN; son, Brock (Sara) Davis of New Buffalo, MI; five grandchildren, April Whistoff, Carissa Thomas, Bodee Davis, Hagen Davis and Callan Davis; and two great-grandchildren Trinity Thomas and Kloey Marshall. Joann retired in 2000 as a supervisor at TP Orthodontics. She loved spending time outdoors, and working in her yard and gardens.

She enjoyed bowling and golfing. Mostly she was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. Contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Services of Northern Indiana, P.O. Box 4204, South Bend, IN 46634.
