JoAnn Shafer, age 78, of Lilburn, GA, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019. Born in Lilburn, she was a retired custodian for Berkmar High School after 15 years and formerly a verification clerk for Doctor’s Hospital in Tucker for 16 years. She is survived by her life partner of 43 years, Sandra Woodyard; sisters, Irene Shafer, Nancy Williams and Rose Rogers; brothers, Charles Shafer, Thomas Shafer, Mark Shafer and Ray Shafer; her “boys”, Jesse, Jeramy, Josh, Tray and John; many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at 11:00 am at Bill Head Funeral Home, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel. Burial will follow in Luxomni Baptist Church Cemetery in Lilburn. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Bill Head Funeral Homes and Crematory, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel, (770) 564-2726.
