Jodi Ellen Snyder, 47, of Hallsville, passed away Monday, July 16, 2018, at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. She was born April 17, 1971, in Charleston, South Carolina, the daughter of Steve Nelson and Benita Casteel. Jodi received her Associated degree in Early Childhood Education from the Florida Community College in Jacksonville, Florida.

Jodi worked as a 911 operator for the Jefferson City Police Department and for CSX Railroad. She was a member of Capital City Christian Church. Jodi was a foster mother who loved and cared for many children.

Survivors include two children, Collin (Friederike) Snyder, Orlando, FL; Elise Snyder, Hallsville, MO; her mother, Benita (Glenn) Kliethermes, Holts Summit; her father, Steve (Kathleen) Nelson, Hesperia, CA; one grandson due any day; two step-siblings, Nikki Courtney, Ashland; Brad (Sandy) Kliethermes, New Bloomfield; and a close cousin, Mona Reeder, Apple Valley, CA. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, July 19, 2018, at Capital City Christian Church. Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
